The e-Minder empowers individuals with Alzheimer’s, dementia, or visual impairments by offering essential auditory guidance and reminders in a simple and adaptable way. The audio activation sensor detects nearby movement and triggers a pre-recorded or uploaded message, ideal for reminders, warnings, or greetings.
You can record personal voice messages directly into the device, or upload up to 8 minutes of high-quality MP3 audio, such as music or sound effects. Messages can be re-recorded easily if needed.
After activation, the chosen sound plays automatically. Options to play the same sound each time or loop through multiple sounds are available. The device offers 3 adjustable volume levels for clear playback.
The device is compact and easy to install. Attach it to any surface using the provided clip, adhesive hook and loop, or rhino tape. Power it using 3 AAA batteries or a mains adapter.
It is useful in daily routines, reminders, safety warnings, or alerts for restricted areas. It can also support independent living, assist in education, and enhance festive events with music or voice greetings.
Upload MP3 files by connecting the device to your computer with the provided USB cable. Simply drag and drop the files onto the sensor’s internal memory.
Testimonial
We utilised the e-Minder sensor when my husband had to start regular medications. Doing shifts made remembering to take medications at specific times more difficult. I used the e-Minder with a recording and attached to the front door. This meant that as he went to work (whichever shift he was on) there was a reminder for him so he remembered to take his medications or take them with him. This worked amazingly well and ensured he took medicines appropriately.
I also used the e-Minder for my dad who at 79 years kept forgetting to take his walking stick out with him (as unsteady when walking outside). Again I attached it to the door that he exited and recorded a message – this worked brilliantly and so far hasn’t forgot to take it with him thereby reducing the chance of falls.
It is estimated by The National Institute of Clinical excellence (NICE ) reports that falls cost the NHS £2.3 billion every year. I can see this product being part of a multi faceted approach to reduce falls.
As a nurse working within the NHS can think of numerous applications for this product
